Nghia Do Ward Trade Union was officially established under Decision No. 2072/QD-LDLD of the Hanoi City Labor Federation. Immediately after organizing the Congress according to the set schedule, the Ward Trade Union deployed a number of practical activities.
One of those activities is to conduct a review of the operating status of 97 grassroots trade unions according to handed over data. The results show that 91 grassroots trade unions are operating; 16 grassroots trade unions have moved to friendly wards; 3 units cannot be contacted; 1 unit has been dissolved before; and at the same time received 14 grassroots trade unions from wards handed over.
Notably, the Ward Trade Union has guided 1 business in the area to establish a Trade Union organization with nearly 600 union members, contributing to expanding the scope of gathering workers.
In order to improve the welfare of union members, Nghia Do Ward Trade Union has signed a cooperation agreement program with Lead Vietnam International Joint Stock Company and VNPC Dental Clinic. Accordingly, union members and employees are entitled to a discount of 10 - 60% when using health care and cancer screening services.
With the above activities, right from the first year of establishment, Nghia Do Ward Trade Union has gradually built a strong, operating, and effective organization. Thereby affirming its position in the 2-level local government model.
