Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation visited and presented gifts to Ms. Nguyen Thi Duong - Trade Union of Viet Nhat Plastic Production Company Limited (under the Thanh Oai District Labor Federation); Duong Thi Ha - Trade Union of Le Thanh B Kindergarten (under the My Duc District Labor Federation).
These are 2 female union members with especially difficult circumstances. In which, Ms. Duong herself suffered from depression, had to take a long break from work for treatment; her husband had a mental illness, her father-in-law had cancer. Her monthly income, along with the amount of support from the Company and the subsidy from her father-in-law, are all spent on covering her living expenses, treating her illness, and raising her two children to study.
Ms. Duong Thi Ha's family situation is also extremely difficult. Ms. Ha's husband recently passed away from lung cancer. Ms. Ha herself has rectal cancer and needs regular treatment and periodic examination. Her 9-year-old daughter has retinal cancer and is blind in both eyes. The cost of treatment per month is extremely expensive. According to Ms. Ha, she is often cared for and shared by colleagues and relatives because her circumstances are too difficult.
Directly giving gifts from the Trade Union to 2 female union members, each gift including 3 million VND in cash and a gift in kind, Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy encouraged and shared with the women, and at the same time requested the Trade Unions at all levels of Thanh Oai and My Duc districts to continue to care, support, and call on socialized sources to join hands to help the two women's families.
