As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8 and the 1985 anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, Mr. Pham Quang Thanh - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation - recently visited and presented gifts to 2 female union members of the Trade Union of the Viet Luc Song - Imagtor Service Joint Stock Company. This is a company with nearly 70 employees, of which over 20 are disabled.
Receiving gifts on International Women's Day early, Ms. Dang Thuy Linh and Ms. Le Hai Huyen could not hide their emotions before the attention of the Capital Trade Union. Ms. Linh from Tuyen Quang is a person with physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, and a difficult family. Currently, Ms. Linh has to rent a room; every day she has to ask her friend to take her to work and pick her up.
Ms. Huyen is from Me Linh, a person with severe physical disabilities, having to use a wheelchair, and all activities depend on her parents. Previously, her father was the one who took her to work. In recent years, her health has not been guaranteed, so the company has created conditions for her to work at home...
Directly giving gifts from the Trade Union to Ms. Dang Thuy Linh and Ms. Le Hai Huyen, each gift including 3 million VND in cash and a gift in kind, Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh shared that this is the affection, care and concern of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers.
