Accordingly, Plan No. 121/KH-LDLD on organizing activities to care for Tet for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 has been officially implemented.
With the theme throughout "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" and the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet", the Hanoi Trade Union aims to ensure that all union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, have a full and warm Tet.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Thanh - Deputy Head of the City Labor Federation's Trade Union Work Committee, the City Labor Federation will organize a series of large-scale events, notably the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng 2026" and "Tet Union Market - Xuan 2026" at two locations: Thien Loc Commune Social Housing Area and the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. In addition, union members and workers can also shop through the "Online Trade Union Tet Market" operated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, helping to access the most convenient and economical price stabilization products.
Regarding Tet support and subsidies, the City Labor Federation will organize delegations of leaders of the City Party Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, and the City Labor Federation to directly visit, wish a happy New Year, and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; at the same time, implement a free car program and support bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet.
At the grassroots level, the City Labor Federation requires the Commune and Ward Trade Unions to proactively advise the Party Committee, government and the Fatherland Front to organize activities to care for Tet in accordance with local conditions. Depending on socialized resources, the Trade Union can organize Tet markets, shuttle buses for workers, visit and give gifts at enterprises or coordinate to care for cases of sudden difficulties.
For grassroots unions, the City Labor Federation especially emphasizes the responsibility to mobilize social resources, especially the support of employers. Many practical activities are encouraged such as organizing "Tet Sum Vay", giving Tet gifts, organizing shuttle buses, organizing "Union New Year Meals" for union members on the occasion of Binh Ngo 2026; taking care of workers staying in Hanoi who do not have the conditions to return home. These are models that have brought positive results in recent years and continue to be promoted in this year's Tet season.
Directing the implementation of activities to care for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh suggested that the Commune, Ward and Grassroots Trade Unions closely follow the direction of the City Labor Federation, seriously and focus on implementing, ensuring real efficiency, ensuring 84 communes and wards; the Trade Union of Hanoi High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks synchronously implement the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng".
