The tournament is chaired by the Ministry of Education and Training, Max Sports Entertainment Joint Stock Company (MSE) and Vietnam Digital content and Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent), with the support of the TV360 application - a famous sponsor of Viettel Telecommunications Corporation.
After more than a month of exciting competition in the qualifying round, the 14 best teams representing the 3 regions of North - Central - South have participated in the final round.
In the Northern region, the teams include the University of Transport, Hanoi National University of Economics - Vietnam National University, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (host) and the women's teams of Hanoi National University, Hanoi National University of Education, Phenikaa University.
The Central region has Da Nang University (men's and women's), while the South attends Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, RMIT University, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
Right after the opening ceremony, the opening match between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Hanoi National University of Economics took place attractively, ending with a 65-58 victory for Hanoi National University of Economics after extra time.
This year's tournament carries the message "Lead the Game - Lead the Game", aiming at a professional, creative and inspiring spirit for Vietnamese students. The total prize value is up to 250 million VND, professionally managed by the Vietnam Basketball Federation.
The matches will take place from November 6 to 14 at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Gymnasium, with the support of many sponsors such as Dong Luc Sports Group, Vietnam National University (BUV), Bank for Vietnam, Ocenter and Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam. The tournament promises to bring a vibrant atmosphere, affirming its position as the largest school sports playground in the country.
