On May 24, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province organized the opening ceremony of the Ca Mau Provincial High School Sports Tournament 2026.
This year's tournament gathers more than 3,900 athletes who are students from 117 delegations belonging to communes, wards and schools directly under the province.
Athletes compete in 6 sports including: Athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, volleyball and football, with a total of 63 sets of medals.

According to the Organizing Committee, the High School Sports Tournament is a traditional activity of school youth, contributing to maintaining and promoting the movement "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", while improving the quality of comprehensive education for students.
Through the tournament, students have the opportunity to exchange, learn, develop sports talents, train physical strength, will, solidarity and form a positive and healthy lifestyle.

This is also an opportunity for the Education sector to evaluate the effectiveness of physical education and the school sports movement; discover and select gifted students to continue fostering and participating in regional and national-level sports tournaments.

The Organizing Committee requests athletes to compete honestly, unitedly, strictly comply with the tournament regulations; the referee team operate objectively and in accordance with the law to ensure the tournament takes place safely and successfully.
