According to the Plan, the Program will open at 6:30 p.m., April 18, at the Dong Thap Provincial Library.
Along with that are activities taking place at the Provincial Library such as: Art program to celebrate Book Day (April 19); Contest " Book display space - Art book workshop" (from April 18 to 21); Organizing talks on Book Day and Reading Culture; Author exchange, introduction of works (April 19); Contest, activities to learn about books, supplementary activities on books for children.
The organization of Book Day and Reading Culture aims to affirm the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality.
Dong Thap province also hopes to encourage and develop the reading movement in the community; form the habit of reading in families, clans, schools, agencies, organizations, contribute to building a learning society and cultural values, standards of being affectionate, dynamic, and creative.
