The Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification (RAR) - Ministry of Public Security, together with the Zalopay payment platform, has signed a cooperation agreement on digital solutions on the VNeID application.
With this cooperation, the two sides will research and deploy utilities to serve public service payments, social security, essential needs of the people, as well as digital transformation solutions in public administration management.
The cooperation between the RAR Center and this payment platform includes electronic identification authentication. Accordingly, Zalopay users can authenticate electronic identification via VNeID according to the regulations of the State Bank. The authentication process is done directly on VNeID using biometrics without the need for a chip-embedded citizen ID card or a device with an NFC connection.
This solution provides users with additional options for safe identification authentication, helping to protect personal information, limiting the risk of identity forgery and financial fraud.
Zalopay's payment portal is also integrated on VNeID, allowing people to make many essential transactions related to public services and social security through a payment application integrated on VNeID.
Transactions such as social insurance, health insurance, tax, fee and other public services are carried out quickly, especially safely and highly securely thanks to the connecting infrastructure between the two units, helping to reduce administrative procedures and documents for businesses and people and increase transparency.
The two sides will also promote cashless payment transactions for other utility services such as healthcare, education, airfares, etc.
