Accordingly, this school year, the city is expected to mobilize 13,140 nursery children, 98,545 preschool children; 255,000 primary school students; 211,508 secondary school students; 101,675 high school students and about 10,000 students from the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.
After arrangement, the whole city has 406 public educational institutions. The city Department of Education and Training manages 99 institutions. Commune and ward People's Committees manage 307 institutions.
Currently, the city has completed the work of arranging 406 principals, directors and 1,242 vice principals and deputy directors at educational institutions when implementing arrangements.
At the same time, receiving the existing teaching staff of schools merged into newly established schools in the original state. Accounting, clerical, and cashier positions are arranged for common use for educational institutions (including the main school, branch, school point), each position is arranged with 1 person.
For the accounting position, in case it belongs to the type of school with boarding and semi-boarding students with a scale of 40 classes or more, a maximum of 2 people can be arranged.
Job positions in equipment, laboratories, libraries, education, student counseling, education support for people with disabilities, information technology (or office administration), and school health are arranged separately for the main school and each branch. Each job position is arranged with 1 person.
The city Department of Education and Training has organized a review and synthesis of the needs for textbooks (textbooks) of educational institutions directly under the Department and under the management scope of the People's Committees of communes and wards.
From there, build and advise the City People's Committee to implement a plan to support textbooks for students from poor households, near-poor households and students in difficult circumstances studying at educational institutions in 38 communes and wards in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the city. The total number of supported subjects is 26,999 students with a total implementation cost of 5,729,872,000 VND.
The Department of Education and Training has directed the Heads of educational institutions after arrangement to be responsible for preparing and organizing the school year opening ceremony at the main school, branch and school point (if any) according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training; absolutely do not let the organizational arrangement slow down the progress of the 2026 - 2027 school year opening ceremony. The main bridge point is organized at Nga Sau Secondary and High School (Nga Sau hamlet, Chau Thanh commune).
