On the morning of January 18, at Hong Duc University, Thanh Hoa province, the Admissions Counseling - Career Guidance Program was held, chaired by the Higher Education Department (Ministry of Education and Training).


The program is coordinated by the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, Hong Duc University, and accompanied by Vingroup Group, attracting the participation of thousands of students in the province.
This is the 24th year the program has been organized nationwide and the 10th consecutive year taking place in Thanh Hoa. The event is considered an important educational activity, attracting a large number of high school students, parents and educational institutions to learn about enrollment information.


According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 2026 is the second year that students take the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. The 2026 entrance exam is expected to have many changes in the admission plan of schools as well as skills requirements for each major.
Faced with that reality, the units have coordinated to organize a series of programs and career counseling and career guidance days to help parents and students access complete and accurate information.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program has the participation of enrollment experts, leaders of many major universities, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of military schools. Experts provide official and most updated information about the high school graduation exam as well as new regulations in university and college admissions in 2026.


Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao - Director of the Higher Education Department (Ministry of Education and Training) said that the annual university and college enrollment work has a great impact on students, parents and society. Therefore, enrollment and career counseling are extremely necessary. This is also the reason why for many years, the Higher Education Department and Tuoi Tre Newspaper have coordinated with localities to organize counseling programs.
At the program, in addition to directly asking questions and listening to answers from the advisory board, parents and students also get to learn information at more than 100 counseling booths of training institutions. Here, students can exchange directly with representatives of schools, learn about study conditions, tuition fees, scholarships, dormitories, as well as international joint study and training programs.

Sharing at the festival, Le Nha Uyen - a 12th grade student at Chu Van An High School, Nam Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province - said she was very happy to participate in the program. Through the event, she and many other students were consulted and answered specific questions about enrollment, thereby having more basis to orient and choose careers suitable for themselves.
According to the plan, the 2026 Enrollment - Career Guidance Counseling Program will take place in 15 provinces and cities across the country. Phase 1 lasts from January 11 to March 22 with 20 programs and festivals organized in many areas, including remote and isolated areas. Phase 2 includes two counseling days "Choosing admission aspirations" in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, organized after the Ministry of Education and Training announces the high school graduation exam scores.
