For many years, Finland has not only been known as the happiest country in the world according to the World Happiness Report, but also a model of a humane education, where learners are comprehensively developed and not subject to heavy exam pressure.
The conference was organized by the New Era Education System and Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS), with the participation of principals, education managers, and parents in the Southern region.
At the discussion session for education leaders, Finnish experts emphasized: school governance is not just about operating the apparatus but about the art of building trust and autonomy.
Mr. Ossi Hermanni Kokkonen - Principal of Karkkila High School said that in Finland, teachers are given high authority in building teaching programs. That trust helps teachers develop a sense of responsibility and improve pedagogical efficiency.
Sharing about the model in Vietnam, Ms. Miekk-Oja Suvi Kristiina - Principal of VFIS affirmed that education needs to aim for sustainable development, taking learners as the center and building a learning community.
Agreeing with this view, MSc. Dao Thi Thu Thao - Deputy General Director of Tan Thoi Dai Education System said that the application of Finnish philosophy in management, operation and teaching has brought positive changes, reflected in the progress of students and the trust from parents.
A notable highlight at the conference was the presentation by Professor Truong Nguyen Thanh (University of Utah, USA) on the role of artificial intelligence in education. According to him, AI can become an "assistant" to help teachers reduce workload, but cannot replace the orientation and inspirational role of teachers.
The conference closed with many academic and practical values.
