The event marks a new step in the development of Hong Bang International University (HIU) and Nguyen Hoang Group in building the Institute - School model, combining medical examination and treatment, training, research and technology application in the same medical ecosystem.
On the same morning, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau visited the hospital, met and encouraged the team of doctors, staff, lecturers, students and inquired about patients being treated here.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh - Principal of HIU cum Director of the hospital - said that HIU Hospital was licensed by the Ministry of Health to operate medical examination and treatment on June 15, 2026. The hospital is oriented to become a clinical practice, training and research facility for students in the health sector of HIU.

According to the plan, the hospital has a scale of 350 beds, a floor area of nearly 40,000m2, including 28 clinical and paraclinical departments. The professional team has more than 500 professors, associate professors, doctors, specialist doctors and senior experts.
On September 14, 2026, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health approved HIU Hospital as a satellite hospital of Ho Chi Minh City University Medical Center Hospital. Accordingly, the two hospitals can coordinate to develop specialties, continuously train, transfer techniques and implement research programs.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of Nguyen Hoang Group, said that the hospital will focus on taking patients as the center, investing in key specialties, strengthening technical transfer cooperation. The hospital also aims to participate in health insurance medical examination and treatment, support vulnerable people and community health care programs.
In the coming time, HIU Hospital plans to promote digital transformation, develop specialized centers and deploy periodic health check-ups for more than 95,000 students and more than 5,500 workers in the Nguyen Hoang Group system.
The inauguration ceremony also featured visits to the exhibition area, experiencing smart kiosks and smart general internal medicine clinics at the hospital.
