On May 23, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong - Director of Vinh City General Hospital to hold the position of Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.
According to the decision, the term of office of Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong is 5 years, from June 1, 2026.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong was appointed to replace Mr. Nguyen Van Huong - Director of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital who retired under the regime.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Truong is a PhD, Doctor, who has worked for many years in the Nghe An health sector. In his position as Director of Vinh City General Hospital, Mr. Truong is assessed as a management official with expertise, operating capacity and has contributed to bringing the hospital to strong development in terms of scale, quality of medical examination and treatment as well as application of modern medical techniques.
Under the management of Mr. Truong, Vinh City General Hospital has gradually improved the quality of medical services, invested in equipment, reformed medical examination and treatment procedures and built a team of highly qualified doctors and physicians to well meet the needs of people's health care.
Nghe An Friendship General Hospital is a special-class hospital at the provincial level, and also a final-line medical facility in the North Central region. Currently, the hospital has a scale of 2,000 beds, 60 departments and rooms; many specialized centers and a team of more than 1,800 officials, doctors, and staff.
