On the morning of April 17, the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City in coordination with BigBang Hang Hieu Trading and Service Co., Ltd. held a press conference on the "Can Tho Mega Sale" event for the 2nd time in 2026.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Ha Vu Son - Director of Can Tho City Department of Industry and Trade - said that the Can Tho Mega Sale program after its first organization has achieved positive results, creating a foundation for continued implementation on a more methodical and professional scale this year.
According to Mr. Son, the event is organized in coordination between the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and business units, including experienced organizers in the field of branded goods sales.
The highlight of the program is the gathering of over 500 major brands in many fields such as fashion, accessories, watches, cosmetics, furniture... bringing a diverse and high-quality source of goods, accompanied by many attractive promotions.

We want to build a reputable shopping space where people, businesses and tourists can access genuine goods at reasonable prices. This is also an opportunity to stimulate consumer demand and support businesses in the context of a still difficult market" - Mr. Son emphasized.
Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade said that previously large-scale shopping events usually only took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang or Vung Tau. Bringing this model to Can Tho not only helps people in the Mekong Delta region save travel costs, but also contributes to raising the city's position as a commercial and service center of the region.
The program is expected to take place from April 29 to May 3 at Muong Thanh Hotel Can Tho, right during the peak holiday of April 30 - May 1.
Also at the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Director of BigBang Hang Hieu Trading and Service Co., Ltd. assessed that Can Tho and the Mekong Delta region are emerging as a new "hot spot" on the map for organizing Mega Sale programs, thanks to good purchasing power and positive reception from the people.
To prepare for the event, the organizers coordinated with Muong Thanh Hotel to arrange a sufficiently large space, capable of serving about 10,000 visitors per day during the 5 days of the program.

Notably, the preferential level continues to be maintained up to 80%. According to Ms. Huong, in the context of the market still facing many difficulties, this is an opportunity for businesses to handle inventory, while bringing practical benefits to local consumers. "All products are clearly committed to their origin and quality as in the previous organization" - she affirmed.
