In the early morning of November 12, the Bac Gianh Ward Police (Quang Tri Province) discovered and caught red-handed 2 subjects illegally mining sand in the coastal sand hill area of Tho Don residential group.
According to initial information, at 1:43 a.m. the same day, during patrolling and controlling the area, the Bac Gianh Ward Police Working Group discovered subject N.V.L (born in 1990, residing in Tho Don residential group) driving an orange excavator, scooping about 4m3 of golden sand onto the truck with license plate 73C-125.. driven by N.V.H (born in 1994, also residing in Tho Don) to transport for sale.
At the time of inspection, both of them could not present a mineral exploitation license issued by a competent state agency, nor did they have any records or documents related to sand exploitation activities in the above area. The subjects admitted to illegally mining for the purpose of selling for money.
Immediately afterwards, Bac Gianh Ward Police coordinated with local authorities to make a record of the incident, temporarily detained all exhibits and vehicles including excavators and trucks to continue investigating, clarifying and handling according to legal regulations.
