On September 8, the Con Dao National Park Management Board said that Con Son Station had just received a golden mountain turtle from Station Ra 32 (Army Corps 294, Division 367, Air Defense - Air Force).
After receiving the turtle, the staff of Con Dao National Park conducted a general inspection, ensuring that the turtle was not injured or infected. This is a female turtle, weighing about 1.6kg, 34cm long, healthy, and showing no signs of abnormality. This process aims to assess the health of turtles, ensuring the highest chance of survival when released into the natural environment.

The area where turtles are released has rich vegetation, abundant water resources and is less affected by humans. This is to help turtles easily find food, drink water and integrate with nature.
"The moment a rare turtle slowly enters the forest from a cow, immersing itself in a cool green space is a meaningful image, affirming the effective conservation efforts of Con Dao National Park and the local community", said a representative of Con Dao National Park.
