On January 2, Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company (Song Ba Ha Company) donated two rescue canoes to Vinasarcom (PCTT&TKCN) of Tay Hoa district and Phu Hoa district (Phu Yen province).
This is a canoe that meets Vietnam's inspection standards, has a capacity of 18 horsepower, is compact, mobile, and helps improve the efficiency of rescue work, especially during the rainy and flood seasons. The value of each canoe is 430 million VND.
At the canoe receiving ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ba Khai - Chairman of Phu Hoa District People's Committee expressed his thanks to Song Ba Ha Company for their attention and practical support.
"These canoes will be an important means to help localities be more proactive in evacuating people from dangerous areas, while effectively carrying out search and rescue work during the annual flood season," said Mr. Khai.
Mr. Chau Dinh Quoc - Deputy General Director of Song Ba Ha Company said that up to now, the enterprise has donated 4 canoes to Song Hinh, Son Hoa, Phu Hoa and Tay Hoa districts.
"By donating rescue canoes, we hope to contribute to local authorities in improving rescue capacity, reducing damage caused by floods, and better serving the work of disaster prevention and control in the districts during the annual flood season," said Mr. Quoc.
