4 fishermen of Phu Yen fishing boat missing at sea

Hoài Luân |

On the way to Song Tu Tay island to treat the injured crew member, the Phu Yen fishing boat lost connection and was "missing" for many days.

On December 31, information from Tuy Hoa Border Guard Station (Phu Yen Province Border Guard) said that authorities are searching for a fishing boat of Phu Yen fishermen who have been out of contact for many days at sea.

Previously, at 12:09 on December 25, Tuy Hoa Border Guard Station received a report that the PY 92042 TS vessel, piloted by Mr. Luong Cong Hay (born in 1980, residing in Phu Dong Ward, Tuy Hoa City) - the captain and owner of the vessel - had lost contact. There were 4 workers on board.

According to the report, at 11:30 a.m. on December 23, crew member Vu Dinh Tan (born in 1978, residing in Phu Dong ward) was injured while fishing at sea, so the captain steered the fishing boat towards Song Tu Tay island to treat Mr. Tan.

However, at 9:36 p.m. the same day, the fishing boat lost connection to the journey monitoring system. By December 24, contact was completely lost.

Currently, the family and the forces have not been able to contact the fishing boat and the 4 fishermen on board.

As reported, on December 29, Tuy Hoa Border Guard Station received a report that fishing boats PY 09505 TS and PY 96194 TS had crew members who died while fishing at sea. Currently, these two boats are on their way back to shore.

The two deceased crew members were identified as Mr. Le Anh Sy (born in 1989, residing in Phu Dong ward) and Mr. Le Ron (born in 1966, residing in Phu Dong ward).
