On the afternoon of December 15, information from An Hai Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Phu Yen province) said that functional forces and local people supported and successfully pulled a stranded fishing boat at the estuary to shore.
Previously, at around 12:00 noon on December 13, while moving to shore, the fishing boat of Mr. Nguyen Van Lieu (55 years old, residing in An Hoa Hai commune, Tuy An district) ran aground at Le Thinh estuary (Phu Luong village, An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district), with 2 fishermen on board.
Upon receiving the news, An Hai Border Guard Station dispatched many officers, soldiers, a canoe, and mobilized two fishing boats and people from An Ninh Dong commune to participate in the rescue.
After nearly half a day of effort, the authorities and local people successfully pulled the stranded fishing boat ashore. The incident did not cause any human casualties, but property damage was estimated at around 200 million VND.
