Ensuring clean water supply for Hue people during floods

HUE - HueWACO mobilizes all its efforts to maintain safe and stable water supply for Hue people amid the historic flood.

Before the prolonged flood from October 26 - one of the biggest floods in many years in Hue City, Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) has proactively implemented a plan to ensure safe water supply for the rainy and stormy season, with careful preparation from the beginning of the season.

When the flood peaked, the water level of the Huong River rose to 5.05m (more than 1.5m above alert level III), many water plants were deeply flooded, and the power grid system was interrupted.

HueWACO immediately activated a safe water supply plan, mobilizing more than 500 officers and employees to be on duty 24/7, arranging human and material resources at factories and pumping stations, ready to fix problems, maintain stable water supply for people.

The company strictly implements the motto "4 on-site, 3 ready", prepares enough materials and chemicals, ensuring 100% of backup generators work well. The Customer Care Center maintains continuous online to receive and process feedback, ensuring stable water supply during floods.

Faced with increased turbidity and impurities in water sources, HueWACO has increased treatment with activated charcoal, PAC, Javen; strictly monitored water quality, ensuring that the water after treatment meets and exceeds the standards of the Ministry of Health.

At the same time, the company arranges temporary tanks, mobilizes temporary water tanks in areas with power outages or isolation, and minimizes water supply interruptions.

With the spirit of "holding the scene, serving the people", HueWACO collective strives to ensure safe and continuous water supply, contributing to helping Hue people overcome floods.
