On the occasion of Hai Phong Police receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, on the evening of May 14, at the City Political - Administrative Center Square, the Gala "Peaceful Fatherland - Bright Hai Phong" took place.
The Gala is one of the prominent highlights of the series of events celebrating the 71st anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2026) and the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2026.
The program is elaborately built with three special chapters including: "Hai Phong, our hometown is resilient", "Hai Phong Police - Heroes of the People's Armed Forces" and "For a peaceful Fatherland".
Each chapter is a historical slice, a heroic epic about the brave and determined coastal land; about the glorious tradition of the Hai Phong Police force. The program also affirms the aspiration to build a secure and safe society in the new era.
In addition to the art performance series at the Gala being elaborately staged, imbued with Hai Phong identity and patriotism, the highlight of the Gala is also the system of reportage and video art that is carefully invested such as: "Hai Phong Symbols", "Hai Phong at the forefront of the waves", "Police arrest spies - commandos", "H88 Legend", "Achievements in new challenges".
Thereby recreating the heroic history, glorious feats as well as the great contributions of the City Police force in protecting national security and maintaining peaceful life.
An important content of the Gala is the launching ceremony of the Video Creation Contest with the theme "Peaceful Fatherland" organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training.
This is a practical activity to implement Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthrough development of education and training, towards education of ideals, ethics, social responsibility, and raising legal awareness for the young generation.
The contest also aims to encourage creative positive digital content, spreading a beautiful image of the People's Police force "For the country, forgetting oneself, serving the people", "Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people"; raising vigilance against crime, especially high-tech fraud and toxic information in cyberspace... Thereby inspiring the young generation to propose solutions to contribute to protecting peaceful life.
The contest lasts until the end of July 2026. The Organizing Committee will judge and organize a Gala award ceremony in Hanoi in September 2026.
