On June 11, according to the Hai Duong Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, according to the current direction of movement, storm No. 1 mainly causes rain at sea and some coastal localities in the Central region. For inland areas such as Hai Duong, storms are less likely to cause rain, but on the contrary, they can make the weather hotter and drier.
The reason is that the western edge of the storm's circulation creates strong winds, sucking moisture from the mainland to the sea, causing dry and hot air to spread in the Northern Delta, including Hai Duong.
It is forecasted that from June 13, the hot weather will begin to appear in Hai Duong and peak in two days, June 14-15, with the highest temperature commonly from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius. The possibility of rain in this area in the coming days is very low.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that storm No. 1 is currently moving slowly in the west-northwest direction, at a speed of about 510 km/h. It is expected that by the morning of June 12, the center of the storm will be over the Hoang Sa sea and tend to strengthen.
As of the morning of June 13, the center of the storm was determined to be at about 18.2 degrees north latitude and 109.8 degrees east longitude, in the area south of Hainan Island (China).
Hai Duong people are advised to pay attention to weather forecasts and proactively prevent the negative impacts of the prolonged heat wave.
