On the evening of December 20, at the Conference Center and Guest House 46 Tran Phu, Nha Trang City, the Vietnam - Korea cultural exchange art program took place.
This is the main activity in the series of Vietnam - Korea cultural exchange programs in Khanh Hoa, celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Korea diplomatic relations (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2024) and 22 years of friendly cooperation between Khanh Hoa province and Ulsan city, Korea.
The art program with the theme "ULSAN ARIRANG" has the participation of artists from Ulsan City Art Troupe and Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe.
The artists presented more than 1,000 Nha Trang audiences with 25 performances of traditional musical instruments, royal dance, traditional dance, modern dance, solo drama, and traditional songs of the two countries.
For the first time, Nha Trang audiences heard a performance of the folk song Arirang - a lyrical Korean folk song recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Taepyeong dance performance - a peaceful dance, a special intangible cultural heritage of Korea No. 92, performed by artists of the Ulsan Art Troupe attracted many young audiences in Nha Trang.
The dance performance "Moonlight on the mysterious tower" with the story of Khanh Hoa Agarwood land spreading from coastal areas, islands to mountains and forests left a strong impression on many Korean audiences.
Besides traditional music, the liveliness and youthfulness of singing, dancing, and modern K-Pop music performances are indispensable. Many young people in Nha Trang have stirred up with Korean artists the songs from the movie “Descendants of the Sun”, APT (Blackpink Rose)…
According to Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, since establishing diplomatic and cooperative relations in 2002, the two localities of Khanh Hoa, Vietnam and Ulsan, Korea have achieved remarkable and comprehensive developments in all fields and gradually become each other's leading important partners.
In 2024, the leaders of the two localities signed a memorandum of understanding on strengthening cooperation between the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province and the Ulsan city government. This is considered an event marking an important development in the relationship of more than 20 years of twinning between the two localities. The memorandum focuses on key areas of cooperation such as delegation exchange, tourism, culture, sports, human resource training and people-to-people exchange.
