On the morning of April 11, in Phan Thiet, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a conference to assess the socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2026 and discuss solutions to promote growth in the coming time.

According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, GRDP growth in the first quarter reached 7.47%, lower than the target of 9.77%.
Import turnover decreased by more than 20% compared to the same period. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 18.42% but did not reach the plan.
The progress of handling obstacles in non-budget investment projects is still slow, especially in the field of renewable energy. Disbursement of public investment capital has only reached more than 5% of the plan.

The number of dissolved businesses increased by over 110%. Administrative reform and digital transformation in some localities have not met the requirements.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the coordination between agencies, units and businesses is still ineffective, and there is still a situation where dossiers are "pushed back and forth", causing difficulties for businesses.

Provincial leaders requested departments, branches, and localities to improve the responsibility of heads, closely monitor the process of handling dossiers, and not let them be backlogged.
At the same time, promote administrative reform, digital transformation in the direction of "no paperwork", shortening the time to resolve procedures for people and businesses.
Currently, the whole province has 368 projects facing problems that need to be focused on handling. Many large-scale projects with high investment value are concentrated in coastal areas.
Many projects have been completed 80-90% but have to be stopped, degraded over time.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested localities to closely monitor businesses, directly work with departments and branches to remove difficulties for each project and each specific case.
Handling must be drastic in order to unlock resources and create growth momentum in the following quarters.
