Hanoi becomes more open from the campaign to reclaim sidewalks
Since the beginning of the year, under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee and Steering Committee 197 at all levels, the campaign "reclaiming sidewalks" for pedestrians has achieved many positive results. The situation of "makeshift markets", "temporary markets", encroaching on sidewalks and roadways for business and parking has basically been handled, especially during the day.
Leaders of Yen Hoa Ward Police said that the awareness of a part of the people is still limited; many street vendors move by motorbike and bicycle, quickly leaving when they see functional forces checking, causing difficulties for handling. To improve management efficiency, Yen Hoa Ward Police have established Zalo and Facebook groups to receive feedback and denunciations of violations from people. When receiving images and information about violations, functional forces will quickly be present to handle them, ensuring deterrence.

Forest fire warning at the highest level in Ho Chi Minh City
In recent days, the weather has been hot and sunny, temperatures have increased, and humidity has decreased sharply in forest areas managed by Phu My Forest Protection Department (Forest Protection Sub-Department, Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City). This has caused the forest vegetation such as dry leaves, weeds, and rotten branches to dry out, and is a favorable condition for fire to break out and spread quickly on a large scale in case of incidents.
Faced with the above situation, Phu My Forest Protection Department issued a level V forest fire warning - extremely dangerous level, the highest level in the forest fire warning scale.
According to the forest rangers, just a small mistake such as people burning garbage, smoking, or using fire carelessly to burn the ground cover can also cause a large fire in the area. Especially, at strong winds, the fire can spread very quickly, causing difficulties for control and potentially causing serious damage to forest resources as well as the ecological environment.
