Faced with the increase in "online kidnappings", on August 1, the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of Ho Chi Minh City Police established a working group headed by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Hoa - Deputy Head of the Department.
The working group is responsible for receiving reports and coordinating with relevant forces to quickly investigate, investigate and prevent the incident, ensuring the safety of the victims.People who discover or suspect "online kidnapping" can call 0693.187.200 (Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) or 028.3821.7080 (Team 2) for timely support.
According to PC02, criminals often impersonate police, prosecutors or delivery staff to call, send fake summonses via video calls or platforms such as Zoom. They threaten victims involved in money laundering and drug cases, forcing them to "work online" or isolate themselves in rented rooms and hotels.

nanny detained for abusing a 14-month-old boy in Quang Ngai
On August 1, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ngai Province Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained nanny Nguyen Thi Quyen (40 years old, residing in Cam Thanh Ward, Quang Ngai Province) for intentionally causing injury. Ms. Quyen was determined to have abused and thrown the 14-month-old baby to the brick floor, causing a traumatic brain injury.
According to the investigation, on the morning of July 16, Ms. Bui Thuy Mai P took her son, L.A.K (14 months old), to send to the Nhu Y private childcare facility (where Ms. Quyen directly cared for him).
