All students and people over 65 years old in Ho Chi Minh City are exempt from health insurance
Ho Chi Minh City spends nearly VND2,000 billion to provide free health insurance (HI) for more than 2 million students and more than 530,00 people over 65 years old.
On November 14, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council passed a Resolution regulating the level of health insurance (HI) support for the elderly and students in the area.
According to the resolution, people aged 65 to under 75, with permanent residence in Ho Chi Minh City and who have not yet received support from other health insurance policies will be paid 100% of the health insurance premium by the city budget. This group of subjects has more than 530,000 people.
For students, including students in general schools and students in continuing education at both public and non-public schools, the resolution stipulates support of 50% of the student's health insurance premium.

Landslide buries road, 7 people lose contact
On the morning of November 14, a particularly serious landslide occurred in Hung Son commune, Da Nang city, completely burying a road.
Speaking to Lao Dong reporter at noon on November 14, Mr. Zoram Buon - Chairman of Hung Son Commune People's Committee said that the horrific landslide occurred at around 9:20 a.m. the same day in But village (Hung Son commune), the section bordering Ch'Om commune and the old Gary commune.

The unusual thing is that landslides occurred in the middle of the sun. An entire hill in the natural forest area suddenly collapsed, causing a huge amount of rock and soil to completely bury a section of DH 4 road.

The largest hydroelectric reservoir in the South reduces flood discharge
On November 14, Tri An Hydropower Company announced a reduction in the amount of water released through the spillway to regulate the reservoir.
According to Tri An Hydropower Company, at 7:00 a.m. on November 14, the upstream water level of Tri An Lake was 61.685 m, the water flow to the lake was 1,190 m3/s, the water flow through the spillway was 800 m3/s, the water flow through the power turbine was 771 m3/s.
Based on the decreasing water flow to Tri An Lake and to reduce the impact on downstream, Tri An Hydropower Company reduces the amount of water released to regulate the reservoir.
