The North is about to have very heavy rain
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has forecast heavy rain in the next 24 to 48 hours.
On September 29, the mountainous and midland areas of the North are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 15 - 30mm, locally over 70mm.
From the evening of September 29 to the night of September 30, there is forecast to be moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places experiencing very heavy rain. Total rainfall is generally between 50 and 120mm, with some places experiencing over 200mm.

Phong Chau pontoon bridge completed, traffic can be opened from September 30
On the morning of September 29, the 249th Engineering Brigade (Engineering Corps) completed the installation of the Phong Chau pontoon bridge (Phu Tho), serving the travel of the people.
The makeshift pontoon bridge is about 400m downstream of the Red River from the site of the Phong Chau bridge collapse, on the left bank of Phung Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district, and on the right bank of Huong Non commune, Tam Nong district.

Ho Chi Minh City sharply increases compensation for nearly 4,000 households subject to clearance
More than 2,200 households in Binh Thanh and Go Vap (HCMC), along with more than 1,600 households in District 8, received increased compensation when they were cleared to renovate Xuyen Tam canal and the northern bank of Doi canal.
