Lao Cai urgently responds to heavy rain, risk of flash floods and landslides
According to forecasts, the Northern region may experience rain from 30-80mm, with some places over 200mm. Heavy rain leads to a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in hilly areas, flooding in low-lying and urban areas, and dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requests localities to closely monitor weather developments, review areas at risk of flash floods, landslides, and flooding to proactively evacuate people when necessary; arrange forces to guard at underground, spillways, temporary bridges and key points, to prevent people and vehicles from passing through dangerous areas.
