On the afternoon of April 1, the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee on merging Lang Son Provincial Radio and Television Station into Lang Son Newspaper, officially establishing Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station - a press agency under the Provincial Party Committee.
At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on personnel work.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Dong Bac, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, was transferred and appointed to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Radio and Television Station from April 1, 2025, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

At the same time, 5 comrades were appointed to the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief, including Mr. Hoang Xuan Thai (former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Newspaper); Ms. Tran Trinh Dieu Hang (former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Newspaper); Mr. Vu Thanh Son, Mr. Do Son Lam, Ms. Hoang Thi Tuoi (former Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Radio and Television Station).
Also in the program, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced early retirement decisions according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP for two provincial Party Committee members including Mr. Hoang Dinh Hom - Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Newspaper and Mr. Ly Viet Hung - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
According to the merger project, the organizational structure of the new Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station includes the advisory board of 08 specialized departments: Organization - Administration Department, Secretary - Editor, Print Newspaper, Electronic Newspaper - Digital content, Television, Radio, Services - Advertising and Engineering - Technology.
After the merger, the number of affiliated units will be significantly reduced: reducing 1 press agency, 5 professional departments (equivalent to 38.5%), 1 agency head, 5 department leaders, and 27 civil servants (equivalent to 18.8%). Specific streamlining roadmap: reduce 25 people by April 1, 2025, and reduce 2 more people by August 1, 2025.
Lang Son Provincial Party Committee leaders suggested that Lang Son Television and Radio Television soon stabilize the organization, promote the spirit of solidarity and inherit the strengths of the two agencies in the past, and promote the application of technology, digital conversion, improve the quality of content, the form of journalism products, meet the requirements of political tasks and information needs of the people.
