On August 1st, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, the Mobile Market Management Team under the Provincial Market Management Sub-Department issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against a glasses business establishment for the act of producing and trading in counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights.
Previously, the Economic Security Department of Vinh Long Provincial Police coordinated with the Mobile Market Management Team to inspect the BV S.G glasses store at No. 69/1 Trung Nu Vuong Street, Long Chau Ward, owned by Ms. V.T.A (born in 1984).
Through inspection, functional forces discovered that the establishment was displaying and selling 12 glasses products showing signs of counterfeiting trademarks protected in Vietnam, including 6 glasses bearing the Lacoste brand and 6 glasses bearing the Chanel brand.
The total value of the violating goods was determined to be about 3.3 million VND.
In addition to the decision to sanction administrative violations against the facility owner, functional agencies also forced the destruction of all counterfeit trademarks to remedy the consequences according to the provisions of law.
