Clause 2, Article 3 of the 2015 Law on Military Service stipulates as follows:
2. Registering military service is the establishment of a dossier on military service of citizens of military service age.
Clause 2, Article 17 of the 2015 Military Service Law, amended and supplemented by Clause 6, Article 4 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 Laws on military and national defense 2025, stipulates the registration for additional military service; when changing residence or workplace, study; temporary absence; registration for exemption from military service in wartime as follows:
2. Register for military service when changing place of residence or workplace, study:
a) Citizens who have registered for military service when changing place of residence or workplace, study must register online or directly at the agency that registered for military service to carry out procedures for transferring military service registration; within 05 working days from the date of arrival at the new place of residence or workplace, study must register online or directly at the military service registration agency to register for transfer;
b) Citizens who have registered for military service and are called to study at schools under vocational education institutions, higher education institutions under the national education system must register online or directly at the agency that registered for military service to carry out procedures for transferring military service registration to the educational institution; after dropping out of school, they must carry out procedures for transferring military service registration to a new place of residence or workplace. The head of the educational institution is responsible for organizing citizens to register for military service and transfer military service registration.
Thus, military service registration when changing residence or workplace, study can be carried out online or directly according to the above regulations.
