The Press Photo Contest is a great playground for journalists and photographers to demonstrate their talent, expertise and unique perspectives through press photos to vividly reflect all aspects of political, economic, cultural - social, scientific - technical, sports life... across the country.
After nearly 2 months of launching, the contest received 3,435 entries (including 2,930 single photos and 505 photo series) from 431 authors.

The Jury conducted online and centralized evaluation and voting. Accordingly, 22 excellent works were selected for awards and exhibition.
VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang assessed that the Jury had made fair selections based on criteria such as theme, method of expression, photography techniques and the ability to convey the works. The photos selected for the awards all brought many emotions and unforgettable memories of a special year 2024.

The authors have told stories in a frame or a series of photos about hot news events over the past year. These are images of the devastation caused by Typhoon Yagi and the humanity that remains, especially the bond between the people and the army, during the storm and flood; the camaraderie of the Dien Bien soldiers in the past on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory...

To capture those valuable moments and convey life's messages, the authors not only master modern photography techniques but also have the acumen to capture the "golden moment" of the event.
