On the evening of April 18, 2026, at the Gianh Ferry Relic Area belonging to the Special National Historical Relic Truong Son Road - Ho Chi Minh Road, the art - political program "Epic Song on the River" was broadcast live on VTV1. This is an activity to express gratitude to cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers and people who fought and sacrificed in the Gianh ferry area - Gianh port in the period 1964 - 1973.
Staged as a vivid memory segment in artistic language, the program takes viewers back to the "fire coordinates" by the Gianh River, where they once struggled in bombs and bullets. Not following the illustrative narrative style, the program combines political theory, real scenery, music and gratitude rituals, creating a solemn and emotional space.

The program includes three parts throughout the historical flow - memories - gratitude. "Fire Coordinates" recreates the strategic role of Gianh ferry - Gianh port in the resistance war, while depicting fierce battles and honoring historical witnesses.
Head in bombs - feet clinging to ferries" delves into the image of people, highlighting the persistent spirit of the rear, with stories about transport forces, youth volunteers and the symbol of "dimming ferries" rich in historical value.
Closing is "Nostalgia for the River", opening up a space of gratitude, emphasizing the morality of gratitude and responsibility of today's generation.
A noteworthy point of the program is the multi-layered performance space organization, associated with the real landscape of the Gianh River and related relics. The river is not just a setting but becomes the central "persona" connecting the past and present throughout the entire emotional journey.

Music plays a role in leading the emotional flow, with many familiar songs such as "Hy vọng", "Lời người ra đi", "Quảng Bình quê ta ơi", "Vui mở đường", "Miền xa thẳm", "Trở về dòng sông tuổi thơ", "Linh thiêng Việt Nam", "Đường chúng ta đi". The participation of artists such as NSND Thu Hien, NSƯT Lan Anh, Tung Duong, Huong Tram, Dong Hung,... has contributed to highlighting the emotional depth of the program.

Not only stopping at an art night, "The Epic Song on the River" is also a reminder of history and the people who lived, fought, and sacrificed for the Fatherland - memories that cannot fade over time.
