The General Secretary and President of Laos said that in part with the exciting atmosphere of the Vietnamese people, Laos solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of Vietnam, with the participation of more than 1,500 delegates, including many senior leaders and representatives of ministries, branches and organizations of Laos.
The General Secretary and President of Laos considered the achievements of Vietnam over the past 80 years as a common achievement of the two countries; shared that he had clearly felt the strong patriotism of the Vietnamese people when witnessing the vibrant and proud atmosphere of the entire Party, people and army of Vietnam in recent days.

Also on the morning of September 2, at the National Assembly Headquarters, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man happily welcomed General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and the high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State to attend the solemn celebration of the Vietnamese people.
Appreciating the cooperation between the two countries' National Assemblies, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that the relationship between the two National Assemblies is an important factor, contributing to the common success of the good relationship between the two countries.
The General Secretary and President of Laos expressed his gratitude for the assistance and sharing of experiences in activities that the Vietnamese National Assembly has given to the Lao National Assembly in recent times, contributing to enhancing the position of the Lao National Assembly, worthy of being a legislative body, an agency representing the rights and interests of the people.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated and was pleased to see that the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos is making many remarkable progress in many fields. In particular, the National Assemblies of the two countries are coordinating to compile and publish the book "50 years of relations between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National Assembly of Laos - Comprehensive cooperation for development".
