On the morning of April 25, in Nhan Trach commune (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province), a tragic drowning incident occurred, killing a local fisherman.
The victim was identified as Mr. P.M.D (born in 1954, residing in Nhan Hai village, Nhan Trach commune). Mr. D is a fisherman whose fishing boat is usually anchored about 200m from shore.
According to initial information, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. D used a plastic can to make a buoy to swim from the boat to shore. However, while moving, he may be swept away by the water.
At around 9am, local people discovered Mr. D unconscious, quickly brought him to shore and tried first aid, but the victim did not survive.
Currently, the victim's family is completing the procedures to organize a funeral according to local customs.
