Round 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship will kick off in Dong Anh (Hanoi) from April 6 to April 19.
Notably, in this year's season, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has applied a new competition format. In each stage, teams will play in a round-robin format to calculate points, thereby ensuring that all teams have the opportunity to face each other twice throughout the season.
This organization method aims to increase professional balance, and at the same time force teams to prepare stable forces throughout the competition process.
Although it is only the opening stage, the results of round 1 still have a direct impact on the overall ranking. Accumulating points from the beginning is considered an important factor, because teams do not have many opportunities to correct mistakes when entering the next stage.
The 8 men's teams participating in the tournament include Bien Phong MB, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Da Nang, Hanoi, LPB Ninh Binh, Sanest Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and The Cong Tan Cang. The 8 women's teams participating include Geleximco Hung Yen, Hanoi Tasco Auto, Hoa Chat Duc Giang Lao Cai, LPB Ninh Binh, Binh Chung Thong Tin, Vietinbank, VTV Binh Dien Long An and Xi mang Long Son Thanh Hoa.
After two stages of competition, the 4 teams with the best results will enter the championship round. The remaining group will compete to determine a relegation spot, in which the bottom-ranked team will play in the A-League next season.
