After finishing second in stage 1, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will rematch Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines in stage 2 of SEA V.Cup 2026, taking place from August 7 to 9 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
With continuous competition for 3 days, the teams are forced to allocate forces reasonably.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will meet Indonesia on August 7, Philippines on August 8, before closing the journey with a confrontation with Thailand on August 9.
After stage 1, the coaching staff has identified the list of 14 players to go to Thailand. The squad includes Nguyen Khanh Dang, Le Thi Yen, Doan Thi Xuan, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Dinh Thi Thuy, Pham Quynh Huong, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Luu Thi Hue, Le Thuy Linh, Ly Thi Luyen, Vo Thi Kim Thoa and Dinh Thi Van.
Notably, Dinh Thi Van and Le Thuy Linh are participating in the SEA V.Cup for the first time. These changes bring more personnel choices for the Vietnamese team in a series of high-density matches.
In addition, in stage 2, assistant coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa will take on the role of head coach. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet will stay in Bac Ninh to continue professional work with the remaining group of players, preparing for the next plans of the team.
