On the afternoon of November 7, the 5th conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, unanimously elected Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Speaking after being elected as Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that after 95 years of formation and development founded and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has been continuously consolidated and grown, increasingly affirming its important role and position in the political system and people's lives.
"As the successor, with the role and responsibility of being the head of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I would like to express my deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the former Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, generations of leaders and front officers who have created a long tradition of building a solid foundation for the front work," Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed.
Inheriting and promoting the achievements, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai promised to make every effort with the Standing Committee, the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to unite and lead the promotion of the role and responsibility of the front and mass organizations, practically contributing to the cause of great national unity; continuing to more clearly affirm the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new revolutionary period; leading the comprehensive implementation of the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In the immediate future, it is necessary to urgently implement the plan to implement the Resolution of the National Party Congress of the Fatherland Front, the first Central organizations for the 2025-2030 term and the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the Congress; lead and direct the successful organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term; effectively implement the front tasks, participate in the election of National Assembly deputies for the 16th term and elect People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; coordinate the collection of comments from all classes of people on draft documents to submit to the 14th National Congress of the Party; continue to complete the project to reorganize press agencies, mass organizations, and the State Party's Secretariat according to the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Security to do a good job of monitoring and protecting the rights and interests of the people at all levels.
"I request and hope that the members, comrades, comrades in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organizations and unions will help and accompany me to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and the State," Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed.
On this occasion, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai called on all classes of people and compatriots abroad to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, actively respond to patriotic emulation movements, campaigns chaired by the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations to jointly work with the political system, bringing the country firmly into a new era, an era of strong, prosperous, civilized and happy development.
Previously, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held the fifth conference, 10th tenure.
The conference agreed to introduce Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and Central organizations to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consultation to participate in the Central Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee and be elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai was born in 1965, has a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Law, and has worked in many positions at the local and central levels.
