Nghe An - The 17th Nghe An Provincial Women's Congress elected Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien to continue to hold the position of President of the Provincial Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term.

On November 25, in Thanh Vinh ward, the 17th Nghe An Provincial Women's Congress, term 2025 - 2030, continued its second session. The Congress was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.

At the Congress, based on the approved personnel project, delegates elected 41 members to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, term XVII, of which 13 members were re-elected (31%) and 29 members participated for the first time (69%). The structure includes 33 full-time staff at all levels and 9 leaders of departments, branches, sectors and enterprises.

The Executive Committee also elected 16 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of Women's Delegates, term 2026 - 2031.

At the first conference, the Executive Committee elected the Standing Committee of 10 members. Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union, term XVI - was re-elected as President of the Provincial Women's Union, term XVII, 2025 - 2030.

The conference simultaneously elected 3 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Women's Union, term XVII, including Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Minh, Le Thi Kim Chung and Nguyen Thi Ha.

At the end of the working session, leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented flowers to congratulate the new Executive Committee. The Executive Committee of the 17th Provincial Women's Union will implement an action program to implement the 2025-2030 term targets.

The 17th Nghe An Provincial Women's Congress, term 2025 - 2030, officially opened on the afternoon of November 24, 2025 with the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, provincial departments, branches and 300 official delegates representing women of all walks of life in the province. The Congress is an important political event to evaluate the results of the Association's work and the women's movement in the period of 2021 - 2025, and at the same time determine the goals, directions and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term, aiming to build a strong Association organization, promoting the role and contribution of Nghe An women in the new period.
