Handing over projects worth 3.9 billion VND to sea and island protection forces

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized the handover of works to care for and support units in performing the task of protecting the sea and islands in the area.

On September 8, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City - and the working delegation attended the inauguration and handover ceremony of works to care for and support units performing the task of protecting the sea and islands headquartered in the eastern area of the city.

At the Command of Naval Region 2, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc and the working delegation, delegates and a large number of officers and soldiers proceeded to offer incense and commemorate at the unit's Cultural Area. After that, the delegation also participated in the inauguration and handover ceremony of works serving training, study, work and activities for officers and soldiers including: 2 tents and 1 pickleball court, with a total value of about 1.4 billion VND.

In addition, at the Coast Guard Region 3 Command and affiliated units, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc and the working delegation also participated in the inauguration and handover of works including: High-tech roof vegetable garden, livestock area, concentrated production and processing system worth 1.5 billion VND; Shipbuilding Club House worth 1 billion VND.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc said that for many years, through the Fatherland Front system, socio-political organizations, with the support of agencies, units, businesses and people from all walks of life for the Fund "For the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland", Ho Chi Minh City has maintained many practical activities towards cadres, soldiers and people in border areas, sea and islands.

The projects awarded today will contribute to improving the capacity to ensure local logistics, building a regular, green, clean, and sustainable unit; creating conditions for officers and soldiers to feel secure in their work, stick with the unit and have more health and willpower to successfully complete their tasks," Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also organized the opening ceremony of the training program on the implementation of movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels.

The training program attracted about 200 delegates to participate directly, along with about 3,200 people participating online through 139 bridge points at member units of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and communes, wards, and special zones.

In the program, the speakers presented 3 main topics including: Skills in propaganda, mobilization, gathering people and promoting the role of core forces in deploying movements and campaigns at the grassroots level; Skills in building, maintaining and promoting cultural, artistic, and sports models in residential communities, associated with building cultural life and movements and campaigns of the Front; Skills in mobilizing, receiving, managing and using funds of the Front, notes in fund accounting nghiệp vụ at the grassroots level.
