On December 5, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province organized a fund donation of more than 700 million VND to support 20 families whose houses were damaged by storms and floods. Of which, 60 million VND/household was given to 6 households whose houses were completely collapsed; 30 million VND/household was given to 9 households whose houses were damaged from 50-70%; 15 million VND/household was given to 5 families whose houses were damaged from 30-50%.
Giving gifts of encouragement and sharing difficulties with households whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee - requested local authorities to mobilize maximum resources to support, soon complete the construction of new houses and repair of houses damaged by natural disasters, ensuring that families quickly stabilize their housing.
"The repair of the house must be completed before December 31. The newly built houses must be completed before January 31, 2026 so that households can feel secure in enjoying Spring and celebrating Tet in the new house, Mr. Ho Van Nien requested.
On the same morning, Mr. Ho Van Nien and leaders of departments, branches, and localities attended the groundbreaking ceremony to build a new house for Ms. Ho Thi Huong, whose family had a house completely collapsed due to a landslide.
The total cost of building a new house for Ms. Huong is about 100 million VND, of which the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province supports 60 million VND; the Quang Ngai Provincial Red Cross Society supports 10 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Tra commune supports about 20 million VND.
