Da Nang Border Guard is ready for election protection work

Da Nang Border Guard deploys many synchronous measures to ensure the implementation of combat readiness tasks, maintaining border and sea and island security during elections.

On the morning of March 11, a working delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army led by Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, inspected combat readiness, protection of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term at the Border Guard Command of Da Nang City.

Through inspection, it was found that the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of Da Nang City had fully grasped the task of combat readiness to all officers and soldiers. The unit strictly implemented the Directive of the Central Military Commission on the Army's participation in the election and directives and instructions from superiors related to the task of protecting the election.

On that basis, the unit concretized the documents of superiors, developed plans close to the characteristics of the local situation and assigned tasks. Many synchronous measures were implemented to ensure the effective implementation of combat readiness tasks and maintain security in the sea border area.

Da Nang City Border Guard regularly monitors and firmly grasps the political security and social order and safety situation in the area; and closely coordinates with the police force and units stationed in the area. Propaganda work is promoted to raise awareness of officers, soldiers and people about the meaning and importance of the election as well as the rights and obligations of citizens.

The unit focused on propaganda and mobilization of people in border, sea, and island areas to participate in elections in accordance with regulations. Preparation for military personnel to participate in elections was carried out thoughtfully; the establishment of election teams, listing of voters and lists of candidates were carried out fully, ensuring solemnity.

After inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son praised the unit's achievements in preparation and combat readiness to protect elections. The Senior Lieutenant General requested the unit to continue reviewing and supplementing combat readiness plans close to the actual situation.

At the same time, strengthen coordination in implementing measures to prevent and combat unmanned aerial vehicles and other aircraft; strictly manage border, sea, and island areas; firmly grasp and accurately forecast the internal and external border situation. The border guard force is also required to strengthen control, promptly detect, prevent and handle illegal entry and exit acts, contributing to ensuring the safety of the election.
