On March 9, in Bac Giang ward, the Fatherland Front Committee (MTTQ) of Bac Ninh province organized a meeting with voters with candidates for the 16th National Assembly (NA) to mobilize the election of NA deputies for the 16th term, 2026-2031.
Attending the conference were Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien - candidate for National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term; Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Delegate Affairs Committee Nguyen Huu Dong; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai.
Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. candidates of the 16th National Assembly, term 2026-2031, belonging to constituency No. 3; leaders and representatives of voters in communes and wards belonging to constituency No. 3.
At the conference, voters were approved to summarize the biography and action program of the candidates of the 16th National Assembly, term 2026-2031, belonging to constituency No. 3.
Among them, 5 NA Deputy candidates of the 16th term belonging to constituency No. 3 include: Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo, Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the NA Delegation of Bac Ninh province of the 15th term; Mr. Vu Van Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Bac Ninh province; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van, civil servant of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department, People's Committee of Bac Giang ward, Bac Ninh province; Ms. Luong Thi Yen - teacher of Tam Hiep Kindergarten, Yen The commune, Bac Ninh province.
Voters of election group No. 3 highly appreciated the enthusiasm and responsibility of the candidates of the 16th National Assembly, term 2026 - 2031.
Voters also exchanged specifics, expressed their thoughts, aspirations, and placed their trust and expectations on candidates.
In which, it is proposed that candidates of the 16th National Assembly Delegation inform about their intentions in advising the Politburo on the implementation of social progress and justice; pay attention to focusing resources on developing and expanding the Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway; continue to have policies to narrow the development gap between regions and improve people's lives.
On behalf of the candidates, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien directly received, exchanged and answered a number of voters' proposals and recommendations.
Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien emphasized the requirement to continue to strongly innovate the activities of the National Assembly in the spirit of the direction of the Central Government and General Secretary To Lam, in which the focus is to ensure that the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws truly go into life; overcome the situation where the guidelines are correct but the organization of implementation is still limited.
The National Assembly also continues to improve institutions, build a synchronous and feasible legal system. Promote the role of creating development, removing bottlenecks and barriers in socio-economic development; and at the same time put people at the center of all policies.
Regarding voters' opinions related to the development of the Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway system, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien said that this is one of the strategic breakthroughs in the country's infrastructure development.
In the past term, the whole country has built nearly 3,000 km of expressways, making an important contribution to promoting socio-economic development. However, the transport infrastructure system still needs to be further invested, expanded and connected more synchronously.
The development of transport infrastructure will be implemented with an appropriate roadmap, mobilizing many different resources according to the motto "The State and the People work together"; thereby creating motivation for development for localities, including Bac Ninh province.
Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien affirmed that, in his working position, if he is trusted by voters to be elected as a NA Deputy of the 16th term, he will continue to strive with NA Deputies to participate in building and perfecting the legal system; creating a favorable development environment; paying attention to solving practical issues related to people's lives and local development.
