On November 17, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - attended the 2025 National Great Unity Festival in Phu Nhon Quarter (Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province).
The festival was attended by leaders of the Military Region 7 Command and agencies under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. On the side of Tay Ninh province, there was Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet.
Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front (FFF), Central organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union also attended the program.
Phu Nhon Quarter currently has 511 households with nearly 1,900 people. In recent years, the locality has maintained a sustainable great solidarity bloc, effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements, especially the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" associated with the movement "All people protect national security". The rate of households registering for cultural families and cultural neighborhoods reached 100%, people's lives were stable and they trusted the leadership of the Party.
In the atmosphere of the Festival, General Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the success of the 1st Tay Ninh Provincial Party Congress (term 2025-2030) after the merger. He emphasized that this is a turning point, creating new development space, crystallizing the revolutionary tradition and aspiration of the Party Committee and people of the province.
For Phu Nhon neighborhood, the General acknowledged outstanding results with 98% of households achieving cultural titles, emulation movements developing widely, and people's lives increasingly improving. He affirmed that the greatest strength of the country always comes from the people's hearts and the great national unity bloc.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the Vietnam People's Army is always absolutely loyal to the Party, State and People; effectively implementing the programs " gracious response to Merit", "House of Love", "House of Comrades", "House of Great Unity". Since the beginning of the year, the entire army has built more than 18,000 houses for policy families, cared for 678 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and mobilized hundreds of thousands of officers and soldiers to participate in rescue, relief, and support people in disaster areas.
In the first 10 months of 2025, Tay Ninh province achieved many outstanding results: budget revenue of nearly VND44,000 billion (118.1% of estimates, up 38% over the same period), public investment disbursement reached 67.6% of the plan, national defense and security were guaranteed, many localities were recognized as "Enhanced New Rural Area" and "model New Rural Area".
The General suggested that the Party Committee, government, the Fatherland Front and organizations of Tay Ninh province continue to innovate their methods of operation, promote their core role in building the great national unity bloc; listen, understand and promptly respond to the legitimate aspirations of the people. He emphasized the promotion of patriotic emulation movements, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, promoting cultural traditions and arousing development aspirations.
On this occasion, General Nguyen Trong Nghia and the working delegation presented 100 gifts to policy families, poor and near-poor households and households affected by natural disasters in the area.
