The conference was attended by comrades Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee - and representatives of the leaders of the three provinces of Vinh Long, Dong Thap, and Ca Mau.
According to the decision of the Secretariat, Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and introduced to be elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee requested the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and leaders at all levels to continue to support and create conditions for Mr. Tran Tri Quang to soon integrate and effectively implement the assigned tasks; at the same time, the Provincial Party Committee will carry out the process of introducing Mr. Tran Tri Quang to the Provincial People's Council to elect him as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in accordance with regulations.
Speaking at the ceremony, the new Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, Tran Tri Quang, respectfully thanked the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat and the Party Executive Committees of the two provinces of Dong Thap and Vinh Long for their trust and assignment of important responsibilities.
In his new position, Mr. Quang pledged to maintain political courage, cultivate ethics, speak with action, dare to take responsibility and always be close to and listen to the opinions of cadres, party members and people.
Mr. Quang said that he will quickly grasp the practical situation, absorb opinions from the grassroots, inherit valuable experiences of previous leaders, ensure that all decisions come from practice and for the people's lives.
"I will put all my heart and intelligence with the Provincial Party Committee to maintain solidarity, promote democracy, mobilize resources, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution, while hoping to continue to receive support and support from the whole province," said Mr. Tran Tri Quang.
Mr. Tran Tri Quang was born in 1977, from Dong Thap province, has a Master's degree in Bridge and Road, Senior in Political Theory. Mr. Tran Tri Quang has held many positions in the Dong Thap transport sector and in 2009 was in charge of the project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 30, Cao Lanh - Hong Ngu section.
- From November 2015 to December 2020: Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Director, Director of the Department of Transport.
- From December 2020 to July 2022: Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.
- From August 2022 to October 2023: Secretary of the Cao Lanh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
- From November 2023 to February 2025: Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
- From March 2025 to June 2025: Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.
- From July 1, 2025 to present: Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee (after merging Dong Thap and Tien Giang).
