At the launching ceremony of the shared textbook cabinet on the morning of August 16, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Vang Commune Le Phu Nguyen said that, aiming at the goal of "community being closer to the people, close to the people, serving the people better", in order to support the children of the people in their learning conditions, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang Commune has launched the development of a shared textbook cabinet model in Hoa Vang Commune for all students of schools in the area.
After 45 days of implementation, the shared textbook ward of Hoa Vang commune has called for 551 million VND to buy books and 6,262 textbooks, placed in the libraries of schools under the management of the commune.

According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Vang Commune Le Phu Nguyen, initially, from the 2025-2026 school year, Hoa Vang Commune will lend 15,171 textbooks to 1,254 students who are children of people in 8 mountainous villages in Hoa Phu commune (old) and provide them to all students who are children of policy households, children of poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, diseases, children of ethnic minorities and households that have not yet purchased textbooks (the rest have books).
Hoa Vang commune will strive from the 2026-2027 school year onwards, to arrange and mobilize resources so that the shared textbook ward of Hoa Vang commune can cover 100% of the demand for textbooks of the children of the commune (about 5,000 students).

At the same time, continue to allocate funds to buy new books to replace them, deducting the amount of damaged books (about 5-10%). Every year, Hoa Vang commune people borrow the commune's textbooks for their children to study, after finishing their studies, parents and students return them to the shared textbook cabinet for the next generations of students to use, saving money to buy textbooks.
The shared textbook cabinet of Hoa Vang commune is a small but beneficial job for the people, easy to do but brings real efficiency, saving money for the people.
"The process of raising and educating children is long, elaborate and expensive with many types of costs. Although each set of textbooks is not of great value (priced from 300,000 to 400,000 VND/set of books), considering all 12 years of high school is a large amount of money for the people.
The shared textbook cabinet model will save millions of VND for each family in the commune, so this is something that needs to be done, determined to do" - Chairman of Hoa Vang Commune People's Committee Le Phu Nguyen said.
In a private interview with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Phu Nguyen also said that with this approach, not only does each household save a few million VND, but the whole commune will save billions of VND each year and tens of billions of VND over the years of a cycle of using textbooks.
This is also a way for all people in the commune to join hands to practice thrift and fight waste that the Party and State are calling for.
