On the afternoon of August 24th, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee coordinated with the Phuoc Thang Ward Party Committee to award the 80-year Party Badge to comrade Nguyen Xuan Lanh (born in 1923), on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2nd.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - and leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Phuoc Thang ward visited and inquired about his health, expressed respect and recognition for the process of training, striving and contributions of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lanh in the ranks of the Party. At the same time, he hoped that Mr. Lanh would maintain and take good care of his health in the coming time.
The 80-year Party membership badge is a noble reward, recognizing the steadfastness and loyalty to revolutionary ideals and the contributions of comrade Nguyen Xuan Lanh. This is not only an honor for individuals and families but also a source of pride for the locality. Thereby contributing to educating traditions, fostering ideals and responsibilities for generations of cadres and party members today," Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized.
Speaking emotionally when receiving the 80-year Party Badge, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lanh expressed his honor; at the same time, thanked the concern of the Party, State and local authorities. In a moment of emotion, the 103-year-old man stood up, solemnly singing the song "The Party is my life".
The family is also proud that the 80-year Party membership badge was awarded to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lanh, considering this a meaningful milestone, a role model for future generations to continue to follow.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lanh is native of Bac Dong Quan commune, Hung Yen province (formerly Dong Giang commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province). In early September 1948, Mr. Lanh was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
From 1946, Mr. Lanh participated in Front work and government work in Tu Hai commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province (formerly). From 1951, he transferred to be the Principal of a number of secondary schools in the area.
In 1968, due to illness, Mr. Lanh stopped holding the position of Principal and Party Secretary of the school, transferred to work as a teacher at a secondary school, and worked in the education sector until he retired in 1979 and lived in the locality until 1994. In 1995, Mr. Lanh and his family moved to Phuoc Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ward 11, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) to live until now.
The Party Committee of Phuoc Thang ward said that Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lanh belongs to the case of being considered for the 80-year Party Badge early according to regulations.
