Through meetings with candidates for delegates of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term, voters in the province sent a series of recommendations related to policies for grassroots officials, people with meritorious services, students in difficult circumstances, administrative procedure reform and environmental pollution treatment.
According to voters' reflections, in the province, there are still many cases of people with meritorious services to the revolution in difficult circumstances who have not been resolved with regimes and policies, especially cases where original records have been lost. Most of these subjects have low incomes and have difficult lives.
Voters proposed that the province direct relevant agencies to review and definitively resolve regimes and policies for these cases; and at the same time consider increasing allowances for people with meritorious services in accordance with reality.
In addition, voters proposed that the province pay attention to adjusting to increase salaries and allowances for village officials, especially non-specialized staff in associations and unions such as the Elderly Association, Women's Union, Association for Promoting Education... in accordance with the current living standards and prices, in order to encourage the spirit of this team.
At the same time, it is necessary to have policies to train, foster, and improve the qualifications and capacity of grassroots cadres - a force close to the people and close to work, in order to promptly meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Regarding the preferential loan policy for students, voters believe that current regulations are still quite binding. Many cases have difficult circumstances, unstable incomes but still do not have enough conditions to access capital sources, hindering their studies.
From this reality, voters proposed that the province direct relevant sectors to consider expanding the beneficiaries or adjusting loan criteria appropriately, creating conditions for students in difficult circumstances to access capital sources and feel secure in their studies.
In addition, voters also proposed that the province promote administrative procedure reform in a simpler direction, reduce overlapping procedures, and create favorable conditions for people and businesses, especially in the field of land.
Regarding the environment, voters reflected that pollution in some localities, industrial clusters, craft villages, rural areas and concentrated livestock areas has not been thoroughly treated. Domestic waste and agricultural waste are increasing, while many places lack collection and treatment points, directly affecting people's health and lives.
Voters proposed that the province direct functional sectors to soon plan and build appropriate waste treatment areas and collection points; arrange sufficient trash cans in public areas; and definitively resolve the situation of domestic waste in residential areas, rivers, and streams, especially in rural areas.
According to Mr. Tran Minh Son - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, the recommendations and reflections of voters have been summarized and notified by this agency to the first session of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term taking place on March 30.
