Da Nang City People's Committee on February 27th said that it has just issued directives and guidance on preparation work to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
Chairman of the City People's Committee - Pham Duc An has signed an official dispatch, directing the Department of Home Affairs, the Management Board of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks, the Management Board of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, and the City Labor Federation to coordinate in notifying and working with production and business enterprises to implement content related to elections.
Units strengthen propaganda and mobilization of workers, especially temporary residents, to contact local authorities to register voter lists, ensuring full exercise of voting rights. Businesses proactively arrange appropriate production plans on Sunday, March 15, creating conditions for all voters who are workers to participate in voting at the place where the list has been made.
The City Police are assigned to take the lead in developing plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety; promptly handle arising situations before, during and after the election day.
From March 1, 2026 until the election is completed, the People's Committees of communes, wards and relevant agencies will temporarily suspend coercive plans related to land clearance projects and other sensitive issues. At the same time, proactively mobilize and handle appropriately prolonged, crowded, and potentially risky hot spots, maintaining stability of the situation.
Departments and sectors, based on their functions and tasks, urgently develop detailed plans to ensure the organization of democratic, safe, and regulated elections; create conditions for voters, especially workers, to participate fully and fully.
